Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
By using FirstFound you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
The game
FirstFound lets you photograph real-world objects, get AI-assisted identification, earn placements and points, and play scavenger lists with others. Scores, placements, moderation decisions, and AI verdicts are made in good faith but are not guaranteed to be error-free — it's a game, and we may adjust scoring, placements, or catalog entries to keep it fair.
Play safe and legal — this is your responsibility
- Only photograph things you can see safely and legally from public places.
- Never trespass, enter restricted areas, or take photos while driving.
- Don't photograph people — especially children — or anything that identifies a person (faces, license plates, mail, documents, screens).
- No nudity, violence, weapons-glorification, harassment, or illegal content of any kind.
Your content
You keep ownership of your photos. By submitting them you grant FirstFound a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process (including AI analysis), display, and distribute them within the app and its services. Accepted discovery photos are shown publicly to other players. You promise your submissions don't violate anyone else's rights.
Fair play
No fake or manipulated photos, no submitting other people's images, no exploiting bugs, no automated clients. We may reject submissions, remove content, reset scores, or suspend accounts to protect the game's integrity.
Scavenger lists
List organizers set their own items and review proofs; organizers must follow the same safety rules in what they ask players to find. We may remove lists that encourage unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
Termination
You can stop using FirstFound anytime and request account deletion (hello@firstfound.app). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service or its players.
Disclaimers
FirstFound is provided "as is," during an early-access period, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of $20 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. You use the app — and the physical world — at your own risk; always put safety above the game.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Material changes will be noted in the app.
